School bus drivers are required by law to receive more training than any other driver in the country. A school bus driver’s background is checked by operation management prior to been appointed to drive learners and drivers are expected to produce public driving permit to drive school children
School bus drivers must have a current first aid Certificate and not have a violent or sexual offence criminal record. School bus drivers must participate in a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and are randomly tested thereafter. All school bus drivers must attend regularly scheduled safety meetings and attend additional training sessions to maintain the skills needed to safely transport learners. School bus drivers must have and maintain a clean driving record, both professionally and personally.
